Dr Ibbett is an Australian trained and qualified neurosurgeon. She has completed a cerebrovascular fellowship at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, UK and a RACS accredited Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgery Fellowship at Mater Neurosciences Centre in Brisbane.

Dr Ibbett treats patients with all brain and spine related problems and is a consultant at both Calvary Lenah Valley Hospital and the Royal Hobart Hospital.

Dr Ibbett has extensive experience in the management of cerebral aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations of the brain in both the emergency and elective setting. Dr Ibbett also has expertise in surgery for brain tumours, cerebrospinal fluid disorders including endoscopic surgery, trigeminal neuralgia, and peripheral nerve entrapment.

Dr Ibbett also specialises in the management of traumatic and degenerative conditions of the spine. During her training she has worked at both the New South Wales and Queensland Spinal Cord Injury Units. Dr Ibbett provides treatment specific to the individual needs of her patients and is passionate about achieving the best possible functional outcome.
