Dr Muir is an Australian-trained Anaesthetist and Pain Management specialist who has worked in anaesthesia departments both in Australia and the UK. He received a Master’s degree in Science (Pharmacology) at the University of London. 

Dr Muir works in full-time pain management practice both in the private and public hospital systems.

His interests are in the use of interventional techniques in the control of chronic non-cancer pain as well as the role of multidisciplinary program-based techniques. Dr Muir is involved in the ANZCA teaching program for anaesthetists and also as a Supervisor of Training at the Barbara Walker Centre for Pain Management.
